How do these guys get to say “Original Wailers”?  Because Al is in the band.  That’s not justification in my mind.  You guys should pick a name and bill yourselves as a tribute band, because that’s all you are and not a very good one at that.  The music is not tight, the drummer over plays, the singer is constantly out of key, and WHERE ARE THE HORNS?  Oh man please let the ORIGINAL Marleys offer tribute to their fallen father and go do something else not attaching such the idea that this is somehow one in the same.

Totally disgusted.

A ‘tribute band’ as opposed to a band calling themselves The Wailers with only Aston Barrett in it??? Now thats ironic….

Oh and I guess the singer you are referring to, Junior Marvin, (that’s his name by the way) definitely wouldnt know what key to sing or play a Marley song in - dude get a grip you are insulting your own intelligence !!!!!

First of all… The Original Wailers contains more members of The Wailers than Family Man’s Wailers does.  Elan in no way shape or form played with Bob Marley - in his own stoned mind he might think he did - but that’s simply not the case.  Second - Bob passed when I was one years old - so unfortunately I never got to experience him; however I have followed The Wailers since their album ID in 1989.  Since Family Man’s Wailers started in 1997 with the departure of Junior Marvin - I have seen NOTHING original out of them - whereas The Original Wailers for only being around now for under two years, have new material.  I think Family Man and his sidekick Elan have had plenty of time to come up with some new material - but still nothing - just an album that’s been talked about for some years now; but all I see is:

“I can’t really mention names now, because we haven’t finished the deals. We’re still in production. We’re almost done. We have more than half the album done. We’re just trying to get the paperwork finalized. I don’t want to be premature and announce artists.”

Perhaps it sounds like I’m angry - and I am - because let’s remember what this is all about - the music and the message.  The first poster here has no idea of what that’s all about and, Elan has forgotten that, obviously with his mention of The Original Wailers as being a “rogue band” - not that he ever knew it because his head is so far up his ass he’d never have the ability to see the truth of the matter.  People - there are two bands containing the name “Wailers” in it - so let’s just listen to the message of the music and stop with the petty bullshit.

I know a guy that knew Bob.  I’m starting a band next week and calling it the “real original wailers”.  Your slack mouth doesn’t deserve rebuttal.  I don’t care what you think of me or my opinion…plonk!

Wait - you just don’t get it - Junior Marvin, Al Anderson and Wya are all members of The Original Wailers - you compare them to you knowing a guy that knew Bob?  How can you even compare that?  Oh wait - you can call Family Man’s Wailers the Wailers, because it has Family Man in it?  How?  He wasn’t even the only bassist for Bob Marley - so with your line of thinking - how can Family Man call his band “The Wailers” - he too is just a Bob Marley cover band - right?
