Great show to a packed house at the Ogden theater in Denver for the Exodus tour. The Wailers never disappoint. 2+ hours of our favorite Roots-Rock-Reggae was a blast. Lots of haze in the house, but as always a great variation in the concert goers. All ages, colors, and degrees of fans. I’m sure everyone who left this show did so in a better mood than when they arrived.
Now that Al Anderson, Junior Marvin, and apparently Drummie Zeb (anyone know what he’s up to?) are no longer touring, it’s a bit different to not see one or all of them onstage. HOWEVER, the current lineup is musically great. I apologize but I didn’t take down the names when Elan was introducing them, lead guitar and horns were awesome. The longtime keyboardist was very cool, and the young drummer is going to be perfect. The backup vocalists and Elan sounded excellent. The show is so cool when the fans can and are encouraged to get involved singing and dancing. Let’s face it, most of us who show up are huge fans and know lyrics like the pledge of allegiance. I’m sure some artists get a bit unnerved or pissed when the whole crowd sings the lyrics, but that is welcomed at Wailers’ gigs. You feel like friends out having a good time except the guys onstage are part of the legend we all love.
6 stops in Colorado during this tour shows you how much we love the Wailers and the band appreciates us-Thank you for continually blessing us with the music we enjoy and special Thanks to a legend himself-FAMILY MAN BARRETT for keeping the music flowing all these years. See you soon I hope. Keep spreading the love and message-Respect.
